Do pets need sedation when getting their bloodwork done?
Not necessarily. For the vast majority of patients, no sedation is needed. The procedure is over in a matter of minutes. They may feel a slight pinch when the needle is inserted to draw the blood. It feels similar to a vaccination injection. But, if your pet is particularly fearful of needles, we can make accommodations.
How long must we wait to get the results?
We can provide same-day results thanks to our in-house lab. Depending on how busy the day is, we will be able to provide you with the findings of your pet’s bloodwork after your consultation.
