How do I know if my pet has a heart problem?
Although each pet is different, there are some common warning signs you can watch out for:
- Bloated stomach
- Dry cough
- Shortness of breath
- Fainting
- Fatigue
- Drastic weight loss
- Poor appetite
How are heart problems treated in pets?
It depends entirely on your pet’s diagnosis. Therapy can be as mild as switching to a lower-sodium diet and taking certain medications to reduce fluid build-up to surgery for the insertion of a pacemaker.
